Her current research explores several topics related to social integration, including how characteristics of communities are related to support or opposition to gay marriage in ballot initiatives, and to whether or not people vote in presidential elections; dominant racial attitudes among undergraduates and how these are shaped by their experiences with race and ethnicity; the relationship between American culture, politics, and the integration of Pacific Islander peoples in their Americanized homelands.
