  • Meredith is an official LGBTQ Ally.
  • Her work is focused on understanding and confronting pervasive negative prejudices in society through three main areas of research: gender and crime, sexualities, and stigma. Her interests in gender and crime focus on crime theory testing among juveniles and women prisoners. Dr. Worthen's work with LGBTQ youth and LGBTQ identities critically analyzes the relationships between attitudes toward LGBTQ people, social identity, and sexual behavior.
