Trenton received his master of arts in sociology from the University of Houston in 2015 and is now pursuing a Ph.D. in sociology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His research interests include men and masculinities, sexuality, health and the body, and work and occupations. He is working on publishing chapters from his MA thesis on men in baton twirling and their experiences as gender minorities in a feminized sport. In August 2015, he represented Team USA at the inaugural International Grande Prix which combined baton twirling organizations from around the world for the first time.
