OU SocioPaths Run Marathon for a Good Cause
On Saturday April 26, 2014, sociology professors Loretta Bass, Trina Hope, and Rob Clark along with graduate students Mandy Felhbaum and Erin Brickman ran in the 14th Annual OKC Memorial Marathon Relay as the "OU SocioPaths." The memorial marathon honors the 168 people who were killed in the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing in 1995. The marathon also serves as the major fund raising source for the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum, which does not receive any local, state, or federal funding. The marathon relay allows five participants to share the 26.2 miles.Trina ran the first leg (10K/6.2 miles), Rob ran the second leg (5K/3.1 miles), Mandy ran the third leg (12K/7.6 miles), Erin ran the fourth leg (5K), and Loretta brought the team home (10K). Their relay time was 4:56:16. The runners were glad to be there to support a good cause.
